January 31st, 2011 by Site Admin

The casinos in New Jersey appear to be having some violent fights at their blackjack tables. Only recently, a resident of New Jersey sustained serious injuries after getting into a fight with another person over a seat at the blackjack table of a casino in Delaware Park a few weeks ago. The victim has not yet been identified, but his condition is very bad indeed.

The man he fought with is Edwin Mitchell, who resides at Wilmington in Delaware. Although the details of the fight are not known, the two men were chucked outside the casino, where they continued their fight. Mitchell punched his opponent in the face and hit him four more times before he fell down and hit his head on the sidewalk. The injured was immediately taken to the hospital; and the Delaware police arrested Mitchell on grounds of assault.

The same casino had previously called the Delaware police when a resident of New Jersey forced himself on the blackjack tables. The man, identified as Clifton Shaw, has been booked on 26 charges, of which 7 are felony charges and 19 are misdemeanor charges. Shaw was caught with fake currency notes worth $140 and 2 false driver’s licenses in his possession. He was also found to be guilty of cheating at the blackjack tables of the casino.
